RitSea

Cloudverest is version control and cloud storage for creative and game files, from Unreal Engine projects to video and design work. Each change is a version you can restore, and a lock keeps other people out of a file while you work on it. It is in early access: free for now, by invitation.

A whale in a cutaway of the sea, built from blocks: a very large file, kept.

What it does

  • Every change is a version

Each change to a file is a version you can restore. A deleted file waits in the trash before it is gone for good.

  • Locks the server enforces

Lock a file and the server refuses another user’s upload, rename, move or delete of it, whichever app they use.

  • Branches and approvals

Work on a branch, open a pull request and have reviewers approve it. A team can require approval for main, so its members open a pull request instead of merging directly.

  • Review without an account

Share a file by link and a reviewer can play the video and, when you allow comments, comment at a timecode, all without signing up. Add a password or an expiry date, and revoke the link at once.

  • A teammate’s upload shows in about a second

When a teammate uploads a file, it appears as incoming on your computer within about a second.

  • One command line for people and AI agents

The command line, cvt, covers tasks, branches, locks, uploads and pull requests. An agent signs in like a person, so the same locks, branches and approvals apply to it.

  • Files up to 4 TB

A single file can be up to 4 TB.

A project’s history, layer by layer

Each layer is one upload, with who, what and when. Restore any version as a new version, or look back at an old one without uploading anything.
