RitSea

Cloudverest keeps the history of the project and its art, enforces locks on the server and plugs into the Unreal Editor. It is in early access: free for now, by invitation.

A whale in a cutaway of the sea, built from blocks: a very large file, kept.

The same rules for every client

Locks hold because the server enforces them, for every client.

  • Locks

While you hold a lock on a file, the server refuses another user’s upload, rename, move or delete of it, whichever app they use. In the desktop app, a binary file locks itself when you change it.

  • Approval before main

A team can require approval for main, so its members open a pull request instead of merging directly. New versions of existing files wait in the Approval Queue.

  • Branches

Turn on branching for a project. When you switch branch, your unfinished edits are set aside and come back when you switch back.

  • VS Code

The extension shows changes, incoming changes and files locked by others, locks and unlocks, and opens conflicts in a 3-way merge editor. The desktop app installs and updates it.

  • Up to 4 TB per file

A single file can be up to 4 TB.
