1. What the Website stores on your device

Nothing. The table lists the technologies people usually mean by “cookies” and says whether the Website uses each one.

Your browser keeps copies of the Website’s files in its ordinary cache so that pages load faster. That is how every browser works. The copies are not cookies, they are the same files anyone receives, and they hold nothing about you.

2. The contact form

The contact form on our Contact page is part of the page. What you type stays in the open page, in your browser’s memory, until you press the button. Your browser then sends the form once, over an encrypted connection, to ritsea.com, where Netlify, which hosts the Website, receives it. The page then shows whether the message was sent.

Before, during and after sending, the form writes nothing to cookies, local storage, session storage or any other storage on your device, and it loads nothing from another site: there is no CAPTCHA and no script from anyone else. Netlify checks the message for spam on its own servers after it arrives (Privacy Policy).

If JavaScript is turned off in your browser, the browser sends the same form itself, and Netlify sends you on to a confirmation page of this Website (ritsea.com/contact/thanks/), which stores nothing either.

Your browser may offer to fill in your name and email address, or to remember them, if you have turned that on. That is a feature of your browser, under your control, and the Website stores nothing there.

3. What your browser loads from where

Every page, style, script, font and image of the Website comes from ritsea.com. Nothing is loaded from another domain, so no third party receives a request from your browser because you opened a page of the Website.

When a link to another page of the Website is on your screen, your browser may load that page in advance, from ritsea.com, so that it opens faster. It is kept in the browser’s memory and the ordinary cache only.

The Website is hosted by Netlify. Like any host, it receives your IP address and the technical details of each request in order to deliver the page. That is not storage on your device; it is described in the Privacy Policy, under “What we handle, why, and on what legal basis”.

4. The rule

A website may store information on a visitor’s device, or read information already stored there, only if the visitor has consented after being given clear and complete information. There are two exceptions: where it is done only to carry a communication over an electronic network, and where it is strictly necessary to provide an online service the visitor has expressly asked for (Law 506/2004, art. 4(5) and (6), which applies art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC).

The Website, its contact form included, stores and reads nothing on your device, so the rule is not triggered and there is nothing for you to accept or refuse. For that reason it shows no cookie banner. Continuing to browse is not consent to anything.

5. Other websites

The Website links to our products’ sites, to the games’ sites and to stores such as Steam. Those sites are not covered by this policy. Once you follow a link, that site may set cookies of its own and its own cookie policy applies.

6. If this changes

Before we add any technology that stores or reads information on your device and is not strictly necessary, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first. The technology will not run until you have agreed. The date at the top of the page shows the current version.

7. Checking for yourself

You do not have to take our word for it. Your browser’s developer tools (usually opened with F12) show what a site stores: look at the Application or Storage tab, under Cookies, Local Storage and Session Storage, while the Website is open. The Network tab lists every request and where it goes; if you send the contact form while it is open, you will see the form go to ritsea.com. Browser settings also let you block or delete cookies for any site.
